These dirty looks were the result of an establishment power structure that was appalled at the audacity of a plebeian constituent, who would have the audacity to confront power in such a public setting. At the conclusion of a Press Conference, Governor Markell and I discuss the False Allegations Industry in Delaware. Even though he vowed, "We will not allow the innocent to be prosecuted due to false allegations of domestic violence." His actions for the next six years would prove to the contrary. Not only would he allow, but he would protect and strengthen a system that rewards false allegations.
Signing into law over 60 Bills that would enhance and strengthen existing laws regarding domestic violence but also, subsequently open the door for the fraudulent use of protection orders. But not one piece of legislation, however, that addresses this dirty little secret -
the existence of a False Allegations Industry in the State of Delaware
